North Dakota State
Championship,

of the meeting rooms. Free one year NDCA membership to players staying at

Friday (May 1st): Speed Chess Round Robin Tournament. EF: $1
(please bring correct change!) Winner takes all prize fund. NDCA membership
required. Unrated.
Saturday & Sunday (May 2 & 3): North Dakota Championship
Tournament. EF: $35. Juniors and Seniors receive a $5 discount. Those
reserving a room at the Comfort Inn before April 11th will receive a $10
discount. All Scholastic players that played in the 2009 State scholastic
will get free entry to this Championship. USCF and NDCA memberships required
of all players. USCF Rated.
Pairings: Six rounds. Computer generated pairings. USCF
pairing rules applied in all rounds. One ½ point bye is allowed per player
in rounds 1 thru 5 (notify the TD before the start of the first round.)
Prizes: All players eligible for cash prizes (based on 35 paid
entries) : 1st-$250, 2nd-$150, Class prizes based on number of players in
each class. Upset prize to be determined. Titles awarded to North Dakota
residents : State Champion (1st Place), Runner-Up (2nd Place), Top Class A
(1800-1999), Top Class B (1600-1799), Top Class C (1400-1599), Top Class D
(1200-1399), Top Class E/UNR (1199 and under/UNR).
To Pre-register: SEND NO MONEY, just information! Pre-registered
players must pay their fees at the registration desk by 7:45am the morning
of the tournament. Players missing this deadline will not play the first
round.
